Oklahoma is home to over 90 casinos and three tribes still expect to see continued growth in the coming years.
The Cherokee Nation operates eight gaming facilities. The tribe is building a new one and is expanding or renovating three other casinos.
"There continues to be room for investment in gaming," David Stewart, CEO of Cherokee Nation Businesses, told The Tahlequah Daily Press.
The United Keetoowah
Band of Cherokee Indians only has one casino. But Assistant Chief Charles Locust said there's room to grow.
“Every year, our sales continue to grow. We’ve never had a year where our sales have declined,” Locust told the paper. “We’re at a place where we’ve got so much potential for growth in the tribe. We have the potential to really take off.”
The Muscogee Nation operates 11 casinos. The tribe is also upgrading some of its facilities.
