The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma is still debating a casino expansion plan, a spokesperson said. During the administration of former chief Chad Smith, the tribe planned a new Cherokee Casino Tahlequah on a 17-acre site. The facility would replace the old casino about a mile away.
