The Pokagon Band of
Potawatomi Indians saw an increase in slot machine revenues in the last fiscal year, The South Bend Tribune reports.
The tribe shared more than $6.25 million with local governments between August 1, 2010, and July 31, 2011. Based on that figure, which represents 2 percent of slot machine revenue, the Tribune calculated that the Four Winds Casino took in more than $312.5 million in the year.
That's up from the $311.4 million that the casino generated in 2008-2009. And it's an increase from the revenue seen in 2009-2010.
The tribe opened a satellite facility, Four
Winds Hartford, in August.
