Pokagon Band reports an increase in slot machine revenue

The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians saw an increase in slot machine revenues in the last fiscal year, The South Bend Tribune reports.

The tribe shared more than $6.25 million with local governments between August 1, 2010, and July 31, 2011. Based on that figure, which represents 2 percent of slot machine revenue, the Tribune calculated that the Four Winds Casino took in more than $312.5 million in the year.

That's up from the $311.4 million that the casino generated in 2008-2009. And it's an increase from the revenue seen in 2009-2010.

The tribe opened a satellite facility, Four Winds Hartford, in August.
