Santee Sioux Tribe to break ground on $20M casino this week

The Santee Sioux Tribe of Nebraska will break ground on a $20 million casino on Thursday.

The facility will replace the existing Ohiya Casino. It will feature an entertainment center, a 49-room hotel, and an 18-hole golf course, KTIV reported.

The state of Nebraska has refused to negotiate a Class III gaming compact with tribes.
