The Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians in North Dakota broke ground on a $30 million casino expansion project. The Skydancer Hotel and Casino opened in 1995 in a metal structure. Tribal leaders say it's time for an update. "It is needed. It's something our tribe has been wanting for and waiting," general manager Richard McCloud Jr. said at the groundbreaking, The Minot Daily News reported. The new facility will feature a bigger gaming floor, more machines and a hotel tower with 100 rooms. The grand opening is scheduled for November 1, 2012. Get the Story:
