Sycuan Band expects to complete $27M casino upgrade in fall

The Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation is spending $27 million to upgrade its casino.

Work at the Sycuan Casino started late last year, The San Diego Union-Tribune reported. The tribe expects to finish the new look by the fall, the paper said.

"Basically, we're gutting the entire casino, section by section, and replacing it," marketing director Michael Tabor told the paper.

The upgrades include a bigger buffet, a new sports bar and grill and changes to the gaming floor.
