The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut owes $1.6 billion in gaming related debt, according to Moody's Investors Service.
The Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority owes $675 million on a line of credit and $250 million on bonds. Both types of debt are due next year and the tribe has not refinanced, Moody's said.
"Both of these debt obligations are considered to be current," Moody's said in downgrading the tribe's credit rating, The New London Day reported.
