Hard Rock International,
owned by the Seminole Tribe
of Florida, outlined plans for a $465 million casino on the Atlantic City boardwalk.
The facility will include a casino, a hotel with about 200 rooms and a music museum. Construction could start as early as next summer.
"We think new construction is going to change the perception of Atlantic City. New is better," Jim Allen, Hard Rock's CEO, told the New Jersey Casino Control Commission on Wednesday, The Atlantic City Press reported.
The second phase of the project will add another 650 hotel rooms to the facility, Allen said. No figures on the cost were provided.
Hard Rock is working with Och-Ziff Capital Management Group on the project, The Press reported.
