Support for a Seneca Nation off-reservation casino is growing, according to a poll commissioned by The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.
Of 500 likely Monroe County voters, 50 percent said they supported the casino. That's up from the 34 percent who were open to the casino in a poll that was commissioned in 2004.
"Ideally we would want everyone on board and happy about it," Richard Nephew, the chairman of the Seneca Nation Legislative Council, told the paper.
The tribe operates two off-reservation casinos -- one in in Niagara Falls and another in Buffalo.
