Rincon Band looks to send casino revenue straight to county

As part of a new Class III gaming compact, the Rincon Band of Luiseno Indians wants to share casino revenue directly with San Diego County, California.

"Our position was always that the funds should be utilized locally to address out local needs, not the state needs," chairman Bo Mazzetti, Rincon told KGTV.

The tribe anticipates anywhere from $3 million to $8 million will go to the county each year, depending on revenues at the Harrah's Rincon Casino and Resort. The county board of supervisors will vote on the proposal today, KGTV reported.
