The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians has seen a rise in gaming revenues and predicts even more growth this year.
The tribe reported $57.8 million in revenues for fiscal year 2009 and $64.9 million for 2010. The tribe expects $83.3 million this year and $100 million in the next, The Mobile Press-Register reports.
"Pearl River’s continued financial success is a direct result of the foresight and leadership of our tribal members and (Chief) Miko Beasley Denson, as well as the dedicated staff and employees who work hard every day to provide a first-class experience for our customers," Pearl River Resort President and Chief Executive Officer General Paul Harvey told the paper in a statement.
Denson recently lost his re-election bid to Phyliss J. Anderson, who will be inaugurated on October 4.
