"My brother recently received a call from Bill John Baker’s campaign for Cherokee Nation principal chief. The caller told him that “Chad Smith has refused to allow the casinos to be audited for 12 years.”
This is beyond political rhetoric; it is a complete lie. I am appalled that this campaign has come to this. If the statement were true, all of the nation’s funding would have been pulled years ago.
The Nation and all the component units (CNB, CNE, Cherokee Nation Comprehensive Care Agency, Cherokee Nation Home Health and HACN) have had audits every year."
