The Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians in California celebrated the 20th anniversary of its casino on Tuesday.
The Viejas Casino opened on September 13, 1991. The tribe served lunch to about 5,000 as a way of saying thank you to the community and to its customers.
"It's part of the way we were raised as children," Chairman Anthony Pico told KGTV. "We grew up knowing the value of generosity."
