The Mississippi Band of Choctaw
Indians racked up $10 million in debut to build its newest gaming facility, The Jackson Clarion-Ledger reports.
The tribe spent $18 million on the Bok Homa Casino. In May, Chief Beasley Denson said the facility hasn't been doing so well that it's already been "paid in full."
But that only applied to construction costs, a spokesperson clarified. The $10 million line of credit on the casino is just a chunk of the $80.8 million in gaming-related debt owed by the tribe.
