The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians can hire live card dealers at its casino within a manner of weeks, Vice Chief Larry Blythe said.
The tribe is negotiating a new Class III gaming compact to bring live table games to the Harrah's Cherokee
Casino. If everything passes, the tribe expects to hire between 300 to 400 people.
"The employment opportunities possible are significant,” Blythe told The Macon County News.
Key lawmakers have told the tribe that they have enough votes to approve the amended compact.
