Only one developer met a deadline to open a "boutique" casino in Atlantic City.
AC Gateway submitted an application to the New Jersey Casino Control Commission on Friday. The developer will hire Hard Rock International,
owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, to manage the $275 million facility on the boardwalk.
Initial plans call for a a 54,800-square-foot gaming hall with a 208-room hotel and 2,400-space garage. It would be the first, and only, of its kind under a new state law that allows smaller gaming facilities.
