The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut plans to build a new hotel at its casino in Connecticut.
The tribe expects to finalize a development agreement for the hotel later this year or early next year, Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority CEO Mitchell Etess said.
The announcement came as the tribe reported an increase in profit for the last quarter.
“We are extremely pleased with our results for the third quarter,”
Etess said on a conference call, The Norwich Bulletin reported.
The tribe operates Mohegan Sun on its reservation and Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, a slot machine facility in Pennsylvania.
