The Seneca Nation of New York plans to spend $53 million to expand the hotel at one of its casinos.
The tribe will add about 200 rooms to the Seneca Allegany Casino. That just about doubles the size of hotel at the facility.
The tribe had put the project on hold due to the recession. But with the hotel at 95 percent occupancy, it was time to restart the expansion, a spokesperson said.
A date for the groundbreaking hasn't been set.
