The Coeur d'Alene Tribe of Idaho has rehired David Matheson as chief executive officer of the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel.
The tribe forced Matheson out of the post in 2006 and accused him of making an unauthorized severance payment to a former executive. But the two sides have apparently resolved their differences.
“The Tribal Council felt that Dave Matheson was the most qualified candidate interviewed and that the time was right to offer Dave a second chance,” the tribe said in a statement, The Spokesman Review reported.
Matheson is a tribal member.
