The Albuquerque Journal obtained a resignation letter that a consulting company sent to Pojoaque
Pueblo of New Mexico.
Randall Fine of The Fine Point Group was brought on to manage the Buffalo Thunder
Resort and Casino in January.
He says he quit because tribal officials were interfering with the operation.
Among other claims, Fine says the tribe paid employee bonuses without his approval, installed art at the casino without his approval and used gaming funds for unrelated purchases.
Gov. George Rivera dismissed the letter as coming from a "disgruntled employee [who] thought he’d try to take down the corporation."
The tribe has since hired Full House Resorts
to run the casino for three years. The firm has management experience in Indian Country.
