The Navajo Nation offered officials in Farmington, New Mexico, a preview of the $75 million Northern Edge Navajo Casino.
The 150,000 square-foot casino will feature 750 slot machines, gaming tables and three 24-hour restaurants. There's also talk of a gift shop and a retail outlet.
"The most important thing is that we have to figure out how to bring in the outside dollar,"
Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise Chief Financial Officer Derrick Watchman told local officials, The Farmington Daily Times reported.
The casino is about 30 to 40 percent complete. The tribe expects to hire 450 people to work there.
The tribe currently operates two casinos in New Mexico and is building a large resort in Arizona.
