The California Assembly voted 69-0 to pass AB 1020, a bill that ratifies a Class III gaming compact for the Habematolel Pomo of Upper
Lake.
The tribe reached the deal with Gov. Gov. Jerry Brown (D). It authorizes up to 750 slot machines, although revenue sharing provisions only take effect if the tribe offers more than 600 machines.
The bill goes to the state Senate for consideration.
