The Chickasaw Nation of Oklahoma was granted approval to own 49 percent of a racetrack in Texas.
The tribe's subsidiary, Global Gaming Solutions, paid $47.8 million for the Lone Star Park at a bankruptcy auction. The tribe then formed a new company called Global Gaming LSP with Texas lobbyist Ricky Knox, who will own 51 percent of the track.
The Texas Racing Commission approved the deal on Friday.
