Navajo Nation President Ben Shelly signed an executive order to ban smoking at the tribe's casinos.
The tribe operates two gaming facilities in New Mexico. Another one is under construction in Arizona and will be smoke-free.
Health experts praised Shelly for taking action to eliminate smoking in the workplace.
