The Hannahville Indian
Community of Michigan is completing an expansion of the convention center at its casino.
The Island Convention Center at the Island Resort & Casino will boast 17,400 square-feet of space when finished. It will allow the tribe to host a wide variety of events.
"The expansion was primarily predicated on the number of requests for larger meetings, trade shows, conferences and social functions that we simply could not accommodate," general manager Tom McChesney told The Escanaba Daily Press.
The expansion will debut April 28.
