The Florida Senate Regulated Industries Committee held another hearing into the possible expansion of gaming in the state.
Representatives of Wynn
Resorts and Sands
Corp. again expressed their eagerness to enter the market in Florida.
Sands is proposing a bill to allow up to five casinos in the state.
"The ink is not even dry on the compact and they're talking about this," Barry Hornbein, a lobbyist for the Seminole Tribe said in response, The St. Petersburg Times reported.
The tribe signed a Class III compact that authorizes slot machines and card games. The deal includes a revenue sharing company but the tribe can stop making payments if the state expands non-Indian gaming.
