"As a career real estate broker, I'm responding to comments regarding a proposed Beloit casino from the public, media and Gov. Scott Walker when I ask them to look at the Johnson Creek area along Interstate 94.
There was an unsuccessful casino application for that property. Compare what is there to potential jobs and area wealth lost due to decisions made then. This should be scrutinized before another mistake is made by rejecting a Beloit casino.
Casino proponents said that former Gov. Scott McCallum was not listening to the 61 percent of Beloit voters who approved a casino referendum, according to a past News 3 report. If Walker wants to lure Illinois businesses, why overlook a ready, willing and able business?"
