The Mississippi Band of Choctaw
Indians says visits to its new casino have exceeded expectations.
The Bok Homa Casino opened on December 20, 2010. In the first month of operation, 55,349 people passed through the doors.
"During its first month of operation, Bok Homa Casino equaled or exceeded our expectations," spokesperson Warren Strain told The Laurel Leader-Call.
The casino is located near Sandersville, where the police chief says local businesses have seen a big boost in customers.
