Mashantucket Tribe to develop Internet gambling site for Europe

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut has entered the online gaming industry.

The tribe's Foxwoods Development Co. will develop an Internet gaming site in Europe in partnership with another company. "We're going to pursue a license or licenses in those jurisdictions where Internet gaming is fully legal, regulated and taxed," Gary Armentrout, the president of FDC, told The New London Day.

The tribe's partner is Goodson Gaming, whose president, Jonathan Goodson, produced "The Price is Right" and "Family Feud." The web site will feature a television tie-in.
