Connecticut tribes see ups and downs in slot machine revenue

Connecticut's two federally recognized tribes reported slot machine revenues for the month of September 2010.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation saw a 2.1 percent increase in the slot win at Foxwoods Resort Casino and MGM Grand at Foxwoods. The overall handle rose 4.1 percent, compared to a year ago.

The Mohegan Tribe saw a 3 percent decline in its slot win at Mohegan Sun. The overall handle was down 2 percent.

Both tribes have taken a big hit in casino revenues in the last two years.
