Little Traverse Bay Bands debates lowering gambling age to 19

The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians of Michigan might lower the gambling age at its casinos from 21 to 19.

Chairman Ken Harrington said the change could go into effect before the end of the year. But not all tribal leaders support the idea.

"Not everybody's in favor of it ... some are saying, 'If (the gambling age) ain't broke, don't fix it,'" Gerald Chingwa, a tribal council member, told The Petoskey News-Review.
