"Politicizing the Jones County casino issue as Attorney General Jim Hood did at The Neshoba County Fair on Wednesday by insinuating the governor has declared war on the Choctaws is unfortunate.
The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians is Mississippi's third largest employer and, rather than trading barbs at the Fair, Mr. Hood and Gov. Haley Barbour ought to be around a conference table with other statewide elected officials working to find a compromise that works for all.
Would they treat Nissan or Toyota or Northrop Grumman this way?
Republicans firing off letters about the proposed casino trampling on the rights of non-Indians is outright disrespectful."
