The Passamaquoddy Tribe at Indian Township in Maine has joined a coalition to fight a proposed casino on the November ballot.
Citizens Against the Oxford Casino is urging a "no" vote on Question 1: “Do you want to allow a casino with table games and slot machines at a single site in Oxford County, subject to local approval, with part of the profits going to specific state, local and tribal programs?”
Black Bear Entertainment says it will share gaming revenues with the Penobscot Nation, the Passamaquoddy Tribe at Indian Township and the Passamaquoddy Tribe at Pleasant Point.
Voters have rejected tribal casinos in the past.
