Senate Indian Affairs Committee sets July 29 hearing on gaming

The Senate Indian Affairs Committee will hold an oversight hearing on Indian gaming on July 29.

The hearing is the first of the 111th Congress to deal directly with gaming. Sen. Byron Dorgan (D-North Dakota) said he wanted to focus on health, education, law enforcement and other tribal priorities when he became chairman of the committee.

The hearing takes place at 9:30am in Room 628 of the Senate Dirksen Office Building. A witness list hasn't been made public.
