Six injured after Cheyenne-Arapaho Tribes casino tent collapses

Six people were injured after a tent outside the casino owned by the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma collapsed on Tuesday.

A crew was preparing for a concert on Wednesday night when a sudden storm hit the Lucky Star Casino. Strong winds caused the structure to crash down in an instant, witnesses said.

"I just started working in Oklahoma like a year ago, and the weather is pretty wild. In Florida, where I'm from, we have really crazy weather there but we always have like two or three days notice. Over here, it's like two or three seconds notice," Andrew Wine, whose leg was broken during the incident, told The Oklahoman.

The tribe was expecting 5,000 people for the Peter Frampton and Yes concert, which had to be canceled. "We're just grateful it didn't happen in the middle of the concert," tribal administrator Ida Hoffman told the paper "I just want to know why the tent was set up in front of the casino as opposed to the back, like usual. That will be a question we'll have for the casino's general manager."
