Board set to distribute Nottawaseppi Huron casino revenues

Gaming revenues from the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of Potawatomi Indians are expected to be distributed to local governments by June 30, The Battle Creek Enquirer reports.

The tribe agreed to share 2 percent of slot machine revenues from the FireKeepers Casino. For 2009, the payment was $1.93 million, about double what was expected.

The FireKeepers Local Revenue Sharing Board will hold hearings in May to determine how to reimburse 24 local governments for costs directly associated to the casino.
