The Mohegan Tribe of Connecticut has hired Blackstone Advisory Partners, an investment and financial advisory firm.
The tribe's gaming authority is using Blackstone for "strategic planning and analysis in connection with its business and financial goals," according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
"They've been taking a look at our cost structure … and business in general," Mitchell Etess, the authority's chief executive officer, told The New London Day. "They certainly have a lot of experience in refinancing. They're world-class advisers."
Blackstone advised the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation as it sought to restructure its gaming debt.
