The Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians will continue to offer some gaming at its new events center.
The tribe is converting most of the floor space at the Golden Moon Casino into a venue for concerts and other events. Gaming will return although a spokesperson wasn't able to specific how much.
Golden Moon and the Pearl River Resort are both located in Philadelphia, the tribe's headquarters. Golden Moon hasn't been performing as well so its hours were cut back in January 2009.
The tribe is opening a Class II facility on another part of its reservation later this year.
