The Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians in Michigan has lowered the legal gambling age from 21 to 19.
Chairman Ken Harrington supported the change. He said it will allow younger tribal members to spend their money close to home.
"I think part of the reasoning was to make more revenue, but the other thing that was brought to my attention is it keeps them in the community, and Odawa is a big draw for the community," Harrington told KLUC-TV.
