Harrah's Entertainment has signed an agreement to take over a casino project from the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation of Connecticut.
The tribe planned to finance the Foxwoods Casino Philadephia. But the project has faltered amid economic woes and other issues.
Some of the tribe's original partners will remain on board if Harrah's gains approval from the state to take over the project.
