The Shinnecock Nation would like to build three casinos on Long Island, a tribal gaming official said.
The tribe hasn't settled on specific sites but is interested in Nassau, Suffolk and in the Hamptons. But plans won't move forward until challenges to the tribe's federal recognition are resolved.
The tribe's reservation is located in the Hamptons, on the far east end of Long Island.
