The Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma celebrated the opening of its second casino in Oklahoma.
Julia Tsonetokoy Wolf, 94, the oldest living tribal member, cut the ribbon for the Kiowa Casino Verden. Kiowa warriors and drum groups helped open the facility.
"Not everyone agrees with gaming," said Walter Ahhaitty, the tribe's executive director, The Chickasha News reported. "However, this is a business venture to help our people and expand tribal operations."
Of the 45 employee as the casino, 40 are Kiowa.
