The Skokomish Tribal Nation of Washington reopened its casino in July after a temporary 10-month closure.
The tribe slimmed down operations at the Lucky Dog Casino, leaving just 130 electronic gaming machines. The casino employs 53 people, down from 120 when the facility closed last year.
"We are on the high road to recovery, with better offerings to our patrons, with good things to come now and in the future," Chair Guy Miller told The Kitsap Sun. "I am very optimistic that we will succeed.”
The tribe expects to keep the facility open.
