The Seneca Nation hasn't shared revenues from its off-reservation casino with the city of Niagara Falls this year.
The tribe shared about $19 million with the city last year. But this year's money is in limbo amid a compact dispute with the state.
“We believe we will be paid; we just don’t know when,” city controller Maria C. Brown told The Buffalo News.
The tribe announced in August that it wouldn't share revenues with the state. The tribe said the state has violated the Class III gaming compact by expanding non-Indian gaming.
