The Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians will announce plans for a second casino in Michigan, The Herald-Palladium reports.
The tribe's communications director told the paper to expect a "major announcement" either today or tomorrow. Officials in Hartford Township have already been informed of the plans.
"If it's new development, I'm sure it will greatly benefit our area," City Manager Yeki Akinwale told the paper. "I have good expectations as to what the impact will be on the community."
The tribe, which opened the Four Winds Casino in August 2007, already owns 300 acres in the township.
