The St. Regis Mohawk Tribe isn't the only one whose plans for an off-reservation casino in the Catskills have changed.
The Mohawks cut ties Empire Resorts after failing to reach an agreement for a land purchase.
The tribe said it will look for other partners and other casino sites.
Meanwhile, the Seneca Nation has a new partner for its casino. The tribe was working with Rotate Black Inc. of Michigan but the company sold its Catskills subsidiary to Catskills Gaming and Development.
State law authorizes up to three casinos in the Catskills, about 90 minutes north of New York City.
