Ak-Chin Indian Community starts expansion of casino hotel

The Ak-Chin Indian Community of Arizona broke ground on a $22 million of the hotel at its casino. The tribe will add 152 rooms to the Harrah's Ak-Chin Hotel and Casino. The project is expected to be completed in July 2011. "This was the right time, right place and the right thing to do,” said Louis Manuel at the groundbreaking, In Maricopa reported. "This expansion will add to that ‘ah’ factor people feel when they first see this site." The existing hotel is almost always completely booked, an executive said. Get the Story:
