Pojoaque Pueblo in New Mexico has missed a third payment on the $245 million bond used to finance the Buffalo Thunder Resort and Casino.
The tribe has failed to make $33 million in payments since June 2009. "We're keeping business going and it's growing, but not to the point we can make the payment," Gov. George Rivera told The Santa Fe New Mexican.
Rivera said the tribe is trying to restructure its debt. It's not clear what will happen if the tribe defaults.
