The St. Croix Chippewa Tribe and the Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians initially worked together for the Beloit Casino Project. Their land-into-trust application was rejected by the Bush administration.
The Ho-Chunk Nation subsequently purchased the land that the other two tribes wanted. Now all three are working together on an intergovernmental agreement with Beloit, the city manager said.
