A group called Stop the Mega Casino says more and more people are opposing the casino sought by the Guidiville Band of Pomo Indians.
The group released a poll that says 48 percent oppose $1.2 billion Point Molate Resort. That's up from 38 percent who opposed it in a prior poll.
Stop the Mega Casino is funded by non-Indian card clubs. The group has engaged in a mass media campaign to drive up opposition to the Guidiville project.
The Bureau of Indian Affairs has
released a draft
environmental impact statement and environmental impact report for the casino.
